My mum and I did the stargazing and a walk in the bush with Lynette this February. I contacted her prior to our visit, asking for a sundown safari which unfortunately wasn't on offer on that day. Without a problem, lynette and I emailed back and forth and she offered a sundown walk and picnic instead which was really great. She showed us all plants and animals and we had south African food she brought for us for the picnic. The stargazing, too, was incredible - one of my highlights of the South Africa trip! we had the birdwatching tour with Lynette and turns out amazing. we gathered in front of the hotel for 5.30 and walked around the environment, so surprised there are varieties of birds that were seen and we never realized before. she's so knowledgeable (not only limited in birds but also plants), attentive, and friendly. ended up the tour with picnic beside the lake while watching the birds drank from it. such a wonderful experience. I had the great pleasure to go on a birding tour with Lynette at De Zeekoe Guest Farm, Oudtshoorn. She is an expert guide with impressive knowledge and knows the perfect spots to watch rare bird species. On top, the service was amazing: after the tour she arranged a detailed list of the bird species we saw and attached her professional photos. She was also able to make getting up before sunrise a surprisingly good experience by bringing coffee on the tour! We took the Swartberg Pass tour with Lynette in December 2022 and loved it! My husband called it a vacation within a vacation. Lynette is knowledgeable about the plant and animal life in the area as well as the history and geology. The mountains are unlike anything we had seen before. We booked a Stargazing/Scorpion-Tour and the Swartberg-Pass-Tour with Lynette.
The booking process, the responsiveness regarding our wishes and the information beforehand were outstanding.

In the middle of September it is usually not yet warm enough for scorpions. Nevertheless, we tried it on a warm day. And with Lynette's help, we spotted two scorpions thanks to the fluorescent flashlight.
The night sky was also fantastic and Lynette showed us the Star of the South, Constellations of the South as well as Jupiter and Saturn with the telescope. It was a great, interesting and entertaining evening.

The next day Lynette took us to the Swartberg Pass. She showed us different kinds of flowers and plants on the way up, but also always had an eye out for the animals next to the road like lizards, chameleons, baboons, blue crades. The three of us looked for animals and stopped when we spotted something. We had a delicious packed lunch overlooking the valley. We were let out at the Cango Caves, as agreed.

Lynette was very flexible, knowledgable and excited about nature and even hat great recommendations for our further roadtrip planning.
