Your Guided Hiking Experience
Our expertly guided tours ensure not only your safety but also provide deep insights into the mountains’ natural and cultural significance. Our passionate local guides enhance your experience, sharing fascinating facts about the area’s flora, fauna, and history.
Our hikes typically last between 3 to 6 hours, ensuring a comfortable yet rewarding experience tailored to various fitness levels. To keep you energized and hydrated, we provide a thoughtfully prepared snack pack, water, and a refreshing soft drink – simply bring a backpack to carry them!
What to Bring: To ensure a comfortable and enjoyable hike, we recommend bringing binoculars, a camera, sunscreen, a hat, extra water and snacks, proper walking shoes, and hiking poles (if you use them).
Fitness Levels: We offer a range of routes to suit varying degrees of fitness. Most of our hikes involve elevations of 300 – 550m. If you have specific needs or prefer a less strenuous option, please contact us, and we’ll gladly work out a route tailored for you.
Choose Your Adventure:
– Outeniqua Pass Summit Hike:
Duration: Approximately 6 hours
Distance: +-7km (can be done as an out-and-back or point-to-point)
Difficulty: Hard, with challenging terrain and steep elevations.
Elevation Gain: About 500m
– Outeniqua Foothills Circular Route (George Side):
Duration: Approximately 3.5 hours
Distance: +-6.8km (circular route)
Difficulty: Moderate, with less challenging terrain and moderate elevations.
Elevation Gain: About 300m
– Swartberg Pass Summit Circular Route:
Duration: Approximately 6 hours
Distance: +-6.5km (circular route)
Difficulty: Hard, with very challenging terrain and steep elevations.
– Swartberg Pass Teeberg Circular Route:
Duration: Approximately 4.5 hours (can be shortened if time is a factor)
Distance: +-10km (circular route)
Difficulty: Moderate, a mixture of uneven terrain and flat surfaces with little to no elevation.
Elevation Gain: Little to none
